Local Competition: Town of Cary Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources

Saturday, March 21  |  Green Hope High School | Field #1 and #2

Free Event  |  (Event Canceled)

Pitch, Hit & Run is the official skills competition of Major League Baseball. This program is designed to provide young people with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball/softball skills.

New in 2020, an Overall Champion for each age division will be awarded at the local competition level. The overall champion is determined by comparing the cumulative score of participants' pitch, hit, and run scores in each division. The Local Champion for each age division does not automatically advance to the Team Championship level. Local competition results will be compared to other qualifiers in our region (MLB team market), in order to determine the top three scorers in each age division who will advance to the Team Championship level. All qualifiers will be notified by Pitch, Hit & Run staff as to their advancement.

Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and have the chance to advance through three levels of competition, including team championships at major league ballparks and the national finals during the 2020 MLB All-Star Week.
