Climb aboard and see Cary from the comfort of an old-fashioned, climate-controlled trolley!
Different themed tours will be offered on a monthly basis; check the "Upcoming Dates" section to the right for scheduled offerings. Below are some of the tours either currently on the schedule or being considered. Some tours will be free of charge, while others will have a fee associated with them.
Downtown History Tour
Climb aboard and let guides from the Friends of the Page-Walker Hotel share the history of our town as you ride through historic neighborhoods and past historic sites and landmarks. You'll see homes that housed former influential members of the community, including civic leaders, merchants, doctors, and the teachers and principals of North Carolina's first public high school. You'll also see historic churches, theaters, and old general stores, and even visit cemeteries with graves dating back to the 1800s. There is a fee associated with this tour and tickets are required.ca
African American History Tour
Board the trolley with the Friends of Page-Walker as they share some of our Town's African American history. Ride through historic Cary neighborhoods, see historic sites and landmarks as you learn about Cary's segregated past, its historically African-American enclaves, leaders, and stories not often told of life in Cary. There is a fee associated with this tour and tickets are required.
Cary Art Loop Shuttle
Hop on and off the trolley as it travels between Cary Art Loop venues in Downtown Cary on the final Friday of select months. The Cary Art Loop shuttle is free of charge and no reservations are required.
Working with the Cary Senior Center, specialized tours for our active retirees will explore different aspects of Cary and Western Wake County.
Spring Garden Tour
Travel to see the Cary area's azaleas and other spectacular spring blooms.
Learn more about the agricultural roots that are still strong in Western Wake, including a visit to the Town of Cary's Good Hope Farm.
Holiday Lights Tour
See some of the area's brightest neighborhood light displays and enjoy a holiday sing-a-long for some good old-fashioned, family-friendly fun. We'll do all the driving so you can keep your eyes focused on spectacular sights. There is a fee associated with this tour and tickets are required.
Tastes of CaryEnjoy food and beverages offered by some great local restaurants, bakeries, breweries, and shops.
