Isabella Johnson created "Springtide Wash" to convey the captivating liveliness and energy of springtime. The light pastel colors contrasting with the bold plants show the vibrancy of the Spring Daze Arts & Crafts Festival, as well as the enthusiasm of the attendees. She abstracted the wildlife to add a light and modern touch to an otherwise simple piece. Isabella incorporated staple elements of spring into the festival to illustrate the boldness of the widely loved event.
Isabella is currently a junior at Cary High School. She has had a passion for art throughout her childhood, along with science and creative writing. Isabella hopes to pursue a career in scientific research after attending university, but she will never forget her fervor for creating artwork.
This piece of art, in addition to others submitted for the honor, will be on display at the Bond Park Boathouse during the festival, located in Section A.
