Mission Statement

Partnering with the community, the Town of Cary Police Department will provide exemplary policing to ensure that Cary, North Carolina remains one of the nation's safest cities.

The Cary Police Department received its re-accreditation in November 2012, for the 20th consecutive year, through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). For the first time ever, the agency also recieved CALEA's new award, the Accreditation with Excellence award. Read the complete list of criteria for the Accreditation with Excellence Award. We exist to ensure the safety and well-being of the community. We accomplish this by delivering the highest level of professional police services possible.
