It is in keeping with Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department’s philosophy to ensure that all citizens receive equal opportunity to participate in recreation. The Town of Cary provides the opportunity for Cary residents to apply for scholarships and/or reduction of fees for Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources’ programs.

Relief for Recreation Scholarship Fund Donations

There are many needs in our community that have been met because of the support of this program. Your tax deductible donations of any amount are welcome anytime. Additionally, anyone can make a donation of $1 or more to the scholarship fund, by adding the donation amount to their program registration form. Call (919) 469-4061 for details.

Scholarship assistance is available to Cary residents only.

Dorcas Ministries screens all scholarship applicants by appointment only.  Appointment hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dorcas Ministries can be reached by phone at (919) 469-9861 Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. To help expedite the process, you may print and complete the scholarship application form and take it with you, along with the requested documentation, to Dorcas Ministries.

Christmas Pet Photo Event
Gather your four-legged friends for a special holiday moment this month at the Town of Cary's two dog parks! For a donation, you'll receive high quality digital photos of your pet in a holiday setting. A portion of donations for photos benefit the Town of Cary's Relief for Recreation Scholarship Fund, as well as the SPCA of Wake County and Ship of Zion Community Days.
