2017 Starlight Concert Series

The Starlight Concert Series is a lively series of free concerts that features musical styles from near and far. Concerts takes place in the beautiful gardens of the Page-Walker Arts & History Center. Bring a picnic and enjoy music by starlight!

Polka Plus Band

Friday, June 2 | 7 p.m. | Free 

Roll Out the Barrel for the annual Yankovic Day celebration with Polka Plus Band! In 1997 America’s Polka King Frankie Yankovic performed with the band for the 22nd annual concert, and two decade later the band keeps his music alive. 

Celebration of Bluegrass

Friday, June 23 | 6 p.m. | Free

For the seventh year, the Town of Cary partners with the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music (Pinecone) to present Bluegrass Camp, teaching guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and songwriting.  Hear the young musicians in action at 6 p.m., followed by a guest band. Kona Ice will be on-site during the concert selling snow cones!

Gregg Gelb and the Second Line Stompers

Friday, July 14 | 7 p.m. | Free

Enjoy and evening of jazz with central North Carolina’s top jazz musician and his band in their Starlight Concert debut!  With guest singer Kathy Montgomery Gelb. 


Friday, August 4| 7 p.m. | Free

Starlight Concert favorite Jamrock returns to fill the air with their authentic reggae rhythms.  Rock out with “Yard Style” reggae, including Lovers Rock, Oldies, Dancehall, and Roots music.Celebrate the band’s Jamaican influence and origins!  Kona Ice will be on-site during the concert selling snow cones!

Food and lawn chairs are permitted, but please leave alcoholic beverages and pets at home. Food vendors are present at some concerts; call for details.
