  •   TACO-2017 Take a Child Outside Week

    We’re celebrating Take a Child Outside Week by encouraging children and adults to spend time together outdoors from September 23-29! The Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources department will be hosting a series of events with the goal to help children, and their parents, develop a better understanding and appreciation of the environment and an enthusiasm for exploring the natural world.

  • BandsBoatsandBites Bands, Bites & Boats at Bond Park

    Spend the last Friday each month at the Bond Park Boathouse enjoying live music, food trucks and after-hours boat rentals. Bring your lawn chair, friends, and family and join us for a relaxing evening at Bond Lake! On September 29, we'll have music by Ed Stephenson and the food truck on site will be Queso Monster.

  • Cary's Downtown Chowdown Logo Final Chowdown of 2017

    Join us along Chatham Street for our final food truck rodeo of the year on October 1, 12:30-5 p.m.! Your favorite food trucks, along with local beer and wine vendors, will line the street along with seating areas and music from local performers throughout the day.

  • CaryDogDays Cary Dog Days

    Enjoy a day filled with fun for you and your four-legged friends! Cary Dog Days takes place Saturday, October 7 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Bond Park. The event features a canine Frisbee competition, rabies and micro-chipping clinics, and local pet groups and vendors. Cary Teen Council will be on site providing dog washes.

  • Carpenter Park Family Fun-2017 Celebrate Gourd Times!

    Enjoy an afternoon full of “Out of the Gourdinary” fun on Saturday, October 7 from 1-6 p.m. at Carpenter Park! Featuring pickleball demos, gourd arts & crafts, food trucks, ice cream, live music, and community garden tours! Learn more about public art plans from Cary Visual Arts, and bring your bicycle to decorate and ride in the bike rally around the lake at 4 p.m.
