Hosted by the Town of Cary, the Cary Community Candidate Forum is a forum for Town Council candidates in the October 6, 2015 election and subsequent run-offs. A decision on this year's forum format was discussed at the July 23, 2015 regular Council meeting.

Watch the forum on Cary TV, where it will air it from September 21 through October 5. The forum will also be made available on the Town's website and YouTube channel. Don’t forget to vote in the October 6 election!

Goals

The Town seeks to help disseminate relevant information about candidates in a forum that is fair, professional, dignified and respectful. The Town wants to promote discussion of a wide variety of topics while ensuring candidates equal opportunity and access to the Town's cable channel.

The Cary Community Candidate Forum must comply with the Town's Government Access Channel Policy.

> Provide a better product and more convenience for viewers
> Lessen the amount of time that candidates and Town staff spend at forums
> Reduce potential bias by outside forum sponsors
> Increase community focus and involvement
> Avoid issue of endorsements
