Greenway Committee Meeting
July 20, 2006
Location: *Lochmere (Swift Creek, Ph II)
* Meeting Location – The May Committee Meeting was held at the proposed greenway for the Swift Creek Greenway, Ph II project, which runs parallel to Lochmere Drive between Lilly Atkins and Kildaire Farm Roads.

BUSINESS

Call to OrderLeta Huntsinger. Nikhi Ananthula was introduced as the new Teen Representative for the Greenway Committee.

Minutes – The June 15 minutes were reviewed by the Committee. 
Action:  Greg Lytle made a motion to accept the minutes of the June 15, 2006 meeting.  The motion carried by a       unanimous vote.

Development Review (Greenway/Land Dedications)
Doug McRainey presented the following rezoning project to the Committee for their review:

06-REZ-08 Phillips Place PDD - The Phillips Place PDD is a proposed 77.64-acre residential development (acreage is approximate.)  The primary uses planned for the PDD are single-family detached and townhomes.  The property is located adjacent to Old Maynard Road and McCrimmon Parkway .

The Kitt Creek Greenway is proposed along the stream buffer along the south side of tract 1, and the north side of tract 3 and the east side of tract 4.  A greenway easement would be credited toward the payment-in-lieu for the park land dedication requirement.
8' wide paved private connection(s) will be required and will be determined at time of site plan.
A payment in lieu of 8.14 acres will be required.

Action: Greg Lytle made a motion to recommend approval of staff recommendations for the PIL and greenway easement for the Phillips Place PDD.  The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
