ACTION: Philip Shepard made
a motion to accept the agenda as written.
Paul Wasylkevych seconded. The
motion passed unanimously.

Old
v Ellie Torrie, Clearscapes consultant
gave a PowerPoint presentation of the proposed layout for the renovation of Old
Cary Elementary into a performing arts center.
The minutes of the meeting are attached.
ACTION by Cultural Arts Committee: David Lindquist made a motion to accept
staff’s recommendations of the proposed renovations for Old Cary Elementary as
presented. Paul Wasylkevych
seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
ACTION by PRCR Advisory Board: Kay Struffolino
made a motion to accept staff’s recommendation of the proposed renovations for
Old Cary Elementary as presented; Tullie Johnson
seconded the motion. The motion carried
by a majority vote.
ACTION by PRCR Advisory Board to Adjourn: Kay Struffolino
made a motion for adjournment for PRCR Advisory Board members at the close of
Old Business (

Reports
·
Festival Committee Report – Mamta Bisarya
v Karen Monna,
chairperson for 2006-2007 will be leaving the committee. A new representative
for the YMCA will be appointed. The new
chairperson for 2007-2008 will be Kay Struffolino with Paul Wasylkevych as
Vice-Chair.
v Revenue for this
year was up by $25,000 because of an increase in sponsorships.
v The Grants
Committee will be considering whether to increase the amount available for
grant money this year because of the Downtown Streetscapes project will effect the festival for the next 2 years.
