new Teen Council Representatives are Rashi Bisarya, Ranjani Iyer, and Preetha
Suresh. Rashi Bisarya will be the voting
member.

Moonlight have been a huge success.

Planning for Lazy Daze Cultural Arts Row
– David Lindquist
v There will be a
new footprint for the Civic Row area to incorporate the “Take a Seat” project
by Cary Visual Art.
v Provide a
guidebook for visitors.

Review of Cultural Arts Row at Spring
Daze – David Lindquist
v There have been
several good ideas for improving this area.
One idea was to have a passport or punch card and give out prizes after
the card has been punched five times.
v Diamante will
have an opportunity for the Cultural Arts Committee to have an information area
on

Feedback on Website Redesign
v The timeframe for
the redesigned website has changed. The
goal now would be to have a new look without making changes to the
content. Staff in Public Information
Office would clean up out dated information by January.

Process for soliciting feedback at events
and activities
v Staff would like
the committee to start thinking of ways for soliciting feedback at events and
be prepared to discuss at the August meeting.

Torre and Rob Wagner presented the Cultural Arts Committee a preview of the
PowerPoint
presentation
planned for the Public Meeting to take place on July 17th to describe
the current
status
of the design efforts for the Old Cary Elementary Renovation Project.
Comments
and suggestions from the

Include more about the history of this particular building and site as it
relates
to
the Town of

There should definitely be a part of the public presentation that addresses
the
“spirit” of the project, not just facts and figures.
1.03
Parking issues need to garner a larger part of the presentation time.

Rehearsal space was an important issue that was raised by the private
groups
represented during the focus group meetings. This should be
addressed
specifically in the presentation. Has this been studied in depth?

Current floor plan diagrams don’t call out a catering kitchen area or a box
office
specifically. Including these would be helpful in understanding the
overall
