The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Advisory Board will operate with four committees.  These committees serve as advisory bodies to town staff and Town Council through the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Advisory Board: 

 

 

-  Athletic Committee – This committee advises the Athletics Division regarding sports rules, issues and policies.  This committee also assists with sports league tryouts.  The committee meets on the 3rd Monday of each month as necessary.

 

 

-  Greenway Advisory Committee – This committee advised the PRCR park planning staff regarding greenway projects, issues and policies.  In addition, the committee assists staff in educating the public about Cary’s greenway program.  The committee meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month.

 

 

-  Cultural Arts Advisory Committee - This committee advises the Cultural Arts Division regarding programs, issues and policies, and serves as a link to the various arts organizations in Cary.  The committee also makes recommendations to Town Council about funding cultural groups.  The committee meets on the 4th

Wednesday of each month.

 

 

-  Teen Advisory Committee - This committee assists staff in development, implementation and volunteer support of teen activities, events and programs. The committee prioritizes program direction and develops ideas for teen involvement and recognition in the community.  This committee meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
