WATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION

This project will increase the plant's potable water treatment capacity from 16 million gallons per day to 40 million gallons per day and includes additional upflow clarifiers, ozone facilities, filters, chemical storage and feed facilities, clearwells, high service and backwash pumps, piping, valves, electrical and instrumention and control equipment, and associated building additions. Improvements will also be made to the raw water pump station to provide increased raw water pumping capacity from the existing pump station at Jordan Lake. Also included is approximately 31,000 linear feet of raw water transmission line, piping and accessories to connect the Raw Water Pump Station at Jordan Lake to the Cary/Apex Water Treatment Plant.

Contracted Completion Date: April 21, 2002
