Friday, June 1 


NCAA Division II Baseball Championship
USA Baseball National Training Complex, 3 p.m.
Friday will mark the 7th day of the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.  We will have a guaranteed 3 p.m. game this day.  We have a possible “if needed” game at 7 p.m..  Free parking, full concessions, tickets $10/adult, $7 youth and senior can be purchased at the gate. En Plein Air: Art Auction and Gala
Cary Arts Center, 6-8:30 p.m.

Bands, Bites and Boats

Set against the backdrop of one of the most under-appreciated sports in America, three teenagers battle their way through the world of competitive ping pong. While facing the unusual challenges coming of age in a niche sport, their journey reveals the passion it takes to pursue their Olympic-sized dreams. Cary Downtown Farmers Market
Ivey-Ellington House, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Locally grown food and locally made products, your community gathering place for everything local! Joe’s Cousin, a one-man rockabilly honky-tonk blues band will be performing during the Saturday Morning Music Series. Enter to win a Farmers Market flower bouquet at market this week! Drawing is at 11:30 p.m.; winner must be present to collect the bouquet. At the Kids’ Table this week we’ll be planting easy-to-grow seeds and plants. 

National Trails Day Walk 
Sears Farm Road Park, 9:45 a.m.  
Grab your walking shoes, family and friends, and take a walk with us! Members of the Greenway Committee will lead this one hour adventure along the winding paths of Green Hope School Greenway.

National Trails Day Bike Ride
Thomas Brooks Park, 9:45 a.m
Bring your bicycles and take a ride with us on 11.5 miles of the Town’s greenways! Members of the Greenway Committee will lead this pedaling adventure that starts and ends at Thomas Brooks Park. For more information, call (919) 380-2135.

National Trails Day Volunteer Workday 
Stevens Nature Center at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
Discover, learn about, and celebrate trails! Spend your morning helping with trail improvements. Space is limited, so register early! Lunch provided by the Friends of Hemlock Bluffs at noon. Ages 6 & up with caregivers. For more or to sign up, call the Stevens Nature Center at (919) 387-5980.

School's Out Jam

Kids Together Playground Birthday Celebration
