Curbside trash, recycling and yard waste collection for this week moves one day later. The Citizen’s Convenience Center will be open holiday hours on May 28 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Cary citizens firing up the grill or deep fryer are reminded to do so safely; properly dispose of any cooking fats, oils and grease by taking advantage of the residential waste cooking oil curbside recycling program. Simply place cooled, used cooking oil and grease in a plastic screw-top food container. Once at least a half-gallon (approximately one, 2-liter soda bottle) is collected, properly label the container “Used Cooking Oil,” and call us at (919) 469-4090 to schedule a free curbside pickup.
