Early Voting Begins at Herb Young Community Center

  • From April 26 to May 5, the Town of Cary’s Herb Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave., will serve as an early voting site for Wake County voters wanting to participate in the May 8 primary election.

  • Early voting will be available weekdays from noon-7 p.m.; early voting times are varied on the weekends and can be found at the Wake County Board of Election’s website.

  • Cary residents living in Chatham County wanting to vote early must go to the Chatham County Board of Elections Office in Pittsboro or the North East District Park location at 5408 Big Woods Road in Chapel Hill.

Cary, NC – From April 26 to May 5, the Town of Cary’s Herb Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave., will serve as an early voting site for Wake County voters wanting to participate in the May 8 primary election. Early voting will be available weekdays from noon-7 p.m.; early voting times are varied on the weekends and can be found at the Wake County Board of Election’s website. Citizens also can vote early at the Wake County Board of Elections, 337 S. Salisbury St. Cary citizens living in Chatham County wanting to vote early can go to the Chatham County Board of Elections office in Pittsboro, 984-D Thompson St, or the North East District Park location at 5408 Big Woods Road in Chapel Hill between April 19 and May 5. Registered voters who choose not to vote early can vote at their assigned precinct on May 8.

For some registered voters, there are no primary contests for their party and voting districts in this election. Voters may visit wakegov.com/elections and click on Am I Registered to look up their voting jurisdictions and ballot style information.
