Looking for something fun to do right here in Cary? Check out the following events this weekend; for more, view our calendar!

Friday, April 6

Bands, Bites & Boats
Bond Park Boathouse, 5-8 p.m.
Back for its second year and now featuring local breweries. Join us at the bond Park Boathouse for live music from Garrett Newton Band, delicious food from Oak City Fish and Chips, local beer from Brueprint Brewing and evening boat rentals. Get your friends and family together and enjoy an evening by the lake. Food trucks, breweries, and performers change each month. Music will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Poetry & Pop: Turkish Poetry in Song  NR
Cary Arts Center, 8 p.m.

Cary Downtown Farmers Market
Ivey-Ellington House, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Locally grown food and locally made products, you community gathering place for everything local! This weekend is our opening day for the regular Market season!  We will have Mountain Blue performing, and a special ceremony at 11:00am with the Mayor and several Town Council members participating.  Be sure to celebrate your neighbors on the opening of Cary’s Farmers Market.

The Abraham Jam featuring Billy Jonas, David LaMotte and Dawud Wharnsby NR
Cary Arts Center, 8 p.m.
Abraham Jam–composed of Billy Jonas, David LaMotte, and Dawud Wharnsby–features three “brothers” from the three Abrahamic faiths. Jonas, LaMotte and Wharnsby have performed extensively over the last few decades in their individual careers.
