Veterans Day Brings Few Changes to Cary Town Services

Post Date:11/07/2017 7:19 AM

With the exception of Sk8 Cary, The Cary Theater and Cary Tennis Park, Town of Cary staffed facilities, including Cary Town Hall and all community centers, will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2017 in observance of Veterans Day. Citizens should note the following services and schedules for the week of November 6-12:

  • Curbside Collection - no impact to solid waste, yard waste and recycling collection due to the newly implemented route rebalance schedule that only collects Monday through Thursday, and not Friday. Items should be at the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day and away from mailboxes, fire hydrants
  • Citizen’s Convenience Center - open on Friday, November 10 with holiday hours, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • GoCary is operating on a regular schedule.

On Saturday, November 11, the Town of Cary invites the public to an observance at the Veterans Freedom Park, 1513 N. Harrison Avenue, to honor veterans of all wars and conflicts; search “Veterans Day” at www.townofcary.org for complete event details. For more operations and scheduling information, search “2017 Operations Schedule” at www.townofcary.org or call (919) 469-4090.
