Cary Mayor Reflects on State of Cary in Annual Message
CARY, NC – Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht issued his 10th State of Cary address, a six-minute reflection on the last year and upcoming opportunities facing the municipality. Cary measures roughly 60 square-miles with about 159,000 people calling Cary home; its growth rate is less than three percent. Highlights from the address include recent accolades as well as changes in key leadership positions. Mayor Weinbrecht also noted challenges moving forward and key opportunities like leveraging technology and growing public-private partnerships to address these challenges. Weinbrecht ended his address with a call of unification to Town staff, community business leaders and citizens in helping Cary to be well positioned to confront any challenge and remain the greatest municipality in America.
