Cary Residents Can Register Beginning February 6 for School’s Out Programming

New this year are full day camps in western Cary

  • Cary residents can register beginning February 6 for full-day, half-day and mini summer camps for youth and teens in traditional and year-round schools; nonresidents can register beginning February 20.
  • New programming this year includes cooking and cake decorating, pirate-themed fun, STEM camps, nursing & pharmacy school, outdoor fun, science, and rocketry. 
  • Scholarships are available for qualified participants and payment plans are available for some camps.

Cary, NC - Cary residents can register beginning February 6 for Cary’s School’s Out 2017 programming which includes full-day, half-day and mini summer camps for youth and teens in traditional and year-round schools; nonresidents can register beginning February 20. Pick up the School’s Out 2017 guide at any Town Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources staffed facility, Town Hall, or public library in Cary, or view it online. New programming this year throughout Cary includes cooking and cake decorating, pirate-themed fun, STEM camps, nursing & pharmacy school, outdoor fun, science, and rocketry. 

New this year, the Town has added full day camps in western Cary at Mills Park Elementary; these camps for grades 1-4 include swimming, tennis, archery, arts and crafts, nature study, games, sports and a weekly field trip; these are in addition to the half-day and minicamp offerings.

Fees vary depending on program type and duration; scholarships are available for qualified participants and payment plans are available for some camps.

The Town releases its School’s Out summer camp guide each winter, and this is in addition to its full program, teen, and senior guides, all of which are published three times annually: fall, winter/spring and summer.
