Operating Hours:
Monday through Friday - 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday - 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Holidays - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
(Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day)

The Citizen’s Convenience Center accepts a variety of residential solid waste, recycling and yard waste for proper disposal. Waste from private contractors is not accepted.

Acceptable Materials:

  • Household garbage
  • Residential yard waste smaller than 6 inches in diameter
  • Junk mail and paper envelopes (manila envelopes, plastic windows and postcards OK)
  • All white and color paper (including newspaper and inserts, copy paper, printer paper, letterhead, computer paper, notebook paper, fax paper, manila file folders, card stock, non-foil gift wrap and greeting cards (non-musical recording). Shredded paper is not accepted.
  • Glossy magazines and catalogs
  • Telephone books 
  • Corrugated cardboard - broken down and cleaned of materials
  • SBS (Solid Bleached Sulfate) board. When SBS board is torn, the edges are white.
  • Chipboard – Cereal boxes, shoe boxes, paper towel rolls, etc.,
  • Glass bottles & jars (clear, brown, & green)
  • Aluminum soda cans
  • Tin and steel food cans
  • Plastic bottles and tubs coded #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7.  Plastic lids, take out (clam shell) containers and frozen entree trays are not accepted.
  • Appliances (disposal fees apply)
  • Wood pallets
  • Bulky trash such as old furniture, appliances and other broken household items
