Challenge Course
Welcome to your Challenge Course experience!
Our Challenge Course, often called a ropes course, is located within the beautiful Fred G. Bond Metro Park and is one of Cary's hidden treasures.A Challenge "Ropes" Course is an outdoor learning facility designed to:
- Stimulate teamwork,
- Encourage cooperation,
- Instill trust, and
- Bolster confidence.
Participants of a program at the Challenge Course can expect:
- An outdoor, guided experience tailored to the goals of their team.
- Activities geared toward safely exploring what it means to be a team.
- Initiatives that offer a mix of physical and mental challenges.
- A choice to participate in a manner that appropriately challenges individuals and the team.
The metaphor of a ROPE.
A rope is made of many strings, just as a team is made of many people. A rope's strength comes from the ability of each individual string to work together and share the rope's workload, for example, supporting a climber or pulling a vehicle out of the mud. Similarly, each individual team member works together with other team members to accomplish tasks and create success. The level of success depends on the strengths of the team and provides each group with learning opportunities that bring out the positive aspects of the team, as well as create a foundation from which teams can build, develop and grow.
